A little while back, in the school holidays, I held some art classes for kids. We worked from my tiny studio and covered the basics of working with clay, did some painting and stamping on fabric and also made tiny books with their drawings. Plus I got to design little worksheets for the class, which was *the best* (inner nerd alert).
I'm constantly blown away by how smart and adaptable kids are and how quickly they work, not wasting time overthinking things (that is something I could definitely learn to get better at :) They also pick great colour combinations and work so well with form, whether it's drawing or painting or making objects from clay.
Here are some of the snaps I took before, during and after. How cool are their creations?! I'm looking forward to doing some more teaching next holidays, because it's so fun and rewarding and just damn cool.
